A Conversation. A Community. A Home.
For over two decades, we’ve been more than a minyan — we’ve been a home. A place where people laugh together, learn together, celebrate together, and show up for each other when it matters most.
THE HISTORY
We started as Kehilat Rayim Ahuvim (KRA). Now, in our new chapter at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan, we’re still the same warm, spirited community you know — just with more room for the conversations, connections, and moments that make this place feel like family.
Here, tradition is alive. It’s in the way we debate a good question over kiddush, the way we bring Torah into everyday life, and the way we make space for curiosity and honest conversation.
We believe that questions make faith stronger, and that real community is built on listening to each other as much as speaking.
THE RABBI
Led by Rabbi Adam Mintz, The Shtiebel @ JCC is a place to Think Aloud — to bring your ideas, doubts, and experiences into the room without worrying about “having the right answer.” Whether you’re here for a class, for davening, or just to sit and feel connected, you’ll be met with warmth, openness, and genuine welcome.
We call it home. So come in. Pull up a chair. Share what’s on your mind. Feel at home. We’re excited that you’re here. The floor is yours.
Our New Home
For 21 years, KRA has been more than a shul — it’s been home. This September, we open our next chapter with a new name and a new space that reflects who we are today. The Shtiebel @ JCC keeps the heart, warmth, and spirit you’ve always loved
— now in a space built for more conversation, more connection, and more moments that feel like home.
